bareMinerals
A tropical print for a limited-edition color collection.

A print inspired by tropical flowers, for the packaging and the campaign.
The ask from bareMinerals, January 2019.
bareMinerals asked me for a print inspired by tropical flowers, one print for both the packaging and the campaign of The Beauty of Nature, its limited-edition color collection for Spring 2020. I collaged orchids, hibiscus, bougainvillea, birds of paradise and palm leaves into patterns, tried them on pack, then narrowed it all down to one dense bouquet on black. The print went onto the Gen Nude blushes, the Gen Nude Natural Oasis eyeshadow palette and the Glow Balm, and the collection launched in January 2020.
A garden, cut up
In which tropical flowers become a print.
I started in mixed media: bougainvillea, orchids and birds of paradise cut out, mirrored, shattered and glitched until the flowers read as a pattern. Five of the directions I selected in January 2019.

One bouquet
In which it all comes down to one bouquet.
The final print pulled back from the kaleidoscopes to a dense bouquet of orchids, hibiscus and palm on black, built to crop down to a compact rim or stretch across a palette lid.

In bloom
In which the print reaches the counter.
The Beauty of Nature launched in January 2020 with the print on the Gen Nude blushes, the Gen Nude Natural Oasis eyeshadow palette and the Glow Balm, and in the launch photography among real orchids and hibiscus. The key visual ran with my hand lettering for the title.
